- 2023 – Dedicated IMPACT train-the-trainers, focus on taking IMPACT content to explicit teaching with students.
Commentary and Further Information
Complexity can only be addressed when we work together. A wellbeing-and-trauma responsive foster care community is when foster carers, child protection workers, support workers and care community members:
- Have a shared and detailed understanding of the science of wellbeing, trauma, growth and human development.
- Can intentionally respond (rather than react) to the individual growth, trauma, developmental and healing needs of children.
- Can intentionally build child awareness, skills and mindsets associated with thriving outcomes.
- Work together in shared intent, and can co-construct shared wellbeing and growth solutions with the child at the centrepoint of planning.
